Abstract:
China has consistently placed the improvement of saline-alkali land in a strategically important position for national agricultural sustainable development and the protection of cultivated land resources. By actively guiding and supporting various socialized service organizations to participate in the management of saline-alkali land, a highly effective and widely recognized pathway for saline-alkali land improvement has gradually taken shape. On the basis of an in-depth analysis of the spatial distribution characteristics, main causes, and regionally differentiated management needs of saline-alkali land in China, this study further systematically reviewed the current development status of service organizations engaged in saline-alkali land improvement. Four major technical approaches such as physical improvement, chemical improvement, biological improvement and hydraulic engineering improvement were comprehensively analyzed focusing on the core links of service delivery. Key dimensions were examined including the professional knowledge structure of service personnel, the level of equipment and facilities in service institutions, their qualification capabilities, service processes and contents, mechanisms for ensuring sustained service quality, and a scientific evaluation system for final service outcomes. Based on the above analysis, this study proposed a standardized promotion strategy for saline-alkali land improvement services, including the formulation of technical standards for saline-alkali land improvement, the development of service standards for such improvement, the enhancement of standard dissemination, training, implementation, and the establishment of long-term mechanisms to ensure effective standard application. These efforts aimed to promote the scientific and standardized development of saline-alkali land improvement services.
